| MPL RULES |
1. Each match will be played of 8 overs.
2. Final match will be of 8 overs with two overs maximum each bowler.
3. Bonus Point:
A. if score is chased in 6 or less overs, 1 point extra will be awarded
B. If opponent team is bowled out less than 75% of the total score than 1 point extra will be awarded.
4. Rotation Points:
A. on field playing 10 players will be there. If any player is not available for genuine reason then you can play using Z1 Player.
B. Each Player in your team should get a chance to Bat once & Bowl Once OR Bat Twice OR Bowl Twice in League Stage to get 2 Bonus Points.
5. Opening batting pair will change for every league match. Team will lose 2 points if it does not follow the rule.
6. Runner will not be given until the consent of opposite team’s captain.
7. Ground dimensions behind the stumps is 30 Ft.
8. Wicket keeper + 2 players should compulsory stand behind the stumps.
9. Run behind the stumps will be only by running between the wickets. No runs will be given in declared form.
A. In case ball goes directly over the barricading (flakes) batsman will be given hit out.
B. In case ball goes beyond the barricading (flakes) after bounce or bounces 1 run will be declared.
C. In case ball remains in playing area behind stumps, runs have to be scored by running between the wickets.
D. If ball gets stuck up in baracating or flakes or cloth, 1 run will be declared. (On field umpire will take the decision for the same and that will be final)
10. If match stops due to any reason, it will resume from the same situation. (No toss or rematch)
11. Umpire decision will be last decision.
12. This MPL we are introducing Speed gun . A sped limit will be set If the bowler crosses that set speed limit the umpire will call it a NO ball And if in any scenario if the gun does not detect the ball and shows no reading it will be called a dead ball
13. If points are same, teams will advance by “NET RUNRATE” basis.
14. It would be mandatory for the teams to be present 30 minutes prior the matches.
15. 1st over of match will be bowling teams POWERPLAY compulsory & thereafter any over from 2 to 6 can be taken by batting team as a power play.
16. Minimum 5 bowlers has to be used in a match, where only 3 bowlers can bowl 2 overs in a match.
17. In case of match is TIE each team will be allotted 1point each. But for quarter, semis& Final there will be super over followed by super over if ties again.
18. Our ground committee members will take final decision if disputes on the field.
19. All teams should be in dress code for the tournament and matches compulsory.
20. Player will not be allowed to write any Personal group name on their T-shirt.
21. Misbehavior by any player or team will not be tolerated and strict action will be taken on the spot against team and player respectively. It’s a captain responsibility to look after this.
22. Free hit will be given on all types of NO-BALL (Overstepping, Full toss above waist, Bouncer above head). Only RUN OUT will be given for free hit.
23. Minimum three player including keeper will be Fielding behind the stumps.
24. One review will be allowed per inning. Review will be allowed for Stumping and Run out only.
25. Mankad Wicket (Non striker run out wicket), will be given out after first warning.
26. Bowler should bowl within the prescribed box, if a bowler foot touches line it will be considered as no ball. A particular box will be drawn on the ground.
27. Format: - Two groups will be there consisting of 8 teams each. Each team will play 6 matches within the same group as Group A & B. Top Team From both the groups will be qualify for semi-final and Next four teams of both the group will qualify for quarterfinals.
28. If any player of your team is permanently out of tournament, then all bonus point criteria have to be fulfilled by remaining 9 players. This confirmation has to be given by player himself. These criteria will not be applicable in partial replacement.
29. Cricket is known to be “A GAME OF GENTLEMEN” so all teams is expected to play with sportsman spirit.
30. OBJECTIVE OF THIS TOURNAMENT IS COMPLETELY FOR GATTEHRING AND ENTERTAINMENT OF OUR COMMUNITY. IT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO COMPETE IN A SPORTING WAY.
